Passed away peacefully at the age of 90 with his wife May and daughter Sandra at his bedside in Goodson Lodge, Trowbridge.

Jim was born on 13th September 1933 in Edinburgh and spent his first 30 years in Scotland before moving to England with May and their children Sandra and Douglas. They lived in London and Chippenham before a spell in Helensburgh, Scotland. The family moved to Trowbridge in 1976.

Jim was a civil servant, working for the Ministry of Defence. He loved French holidays, red wine, football including his beloved Jam Tarts, playing golf & skittles and spending time with his children and grandson.

Jim was preceded in death by his son Douglas in 1982 and is survived by May, Sandra and Sandra's son, Alexander.

Jim's funeral will take place at 12:30pm on Monday 20th May at the West Wiltshire Crematorium followed by a celebration of his life at The Barge Inn, Seend, Wiltshire. Everybody is welcome.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Alzheimer's Support, Wiltshire (www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk). Jim loved attending their Mill Street Club in Trowbridge over the last couple of years.
